Patient Participation Group The Practice has an active Patient Participation Group which meets quarterly on a Wednesday evening here at the surgery. It works closely with the staff team and represents the views of all the patients. The group’s successes include:
If you would like further information about the activities of this group, would like to join, or simply attend a meeting without obligation, please contact the Practice Manager on 01305 848333 or by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.orgNo special skills are required, just an interest in improving the quality of healthcare locally.
The committee consists of Patient representatives from the Practice, the Practice Manager, a member of the Practice staff, the co-ordinator of the Friends of the Practice, and a representative of the Carers. It meets once every three months.
Our Patient Participation Group, working together with the practice, have set up a broader Patient Reference Group (PRG) whom we are contacting only two or three times a year, by email, telephone or post to ask for feedback on one or two matters relating to the services we provide.
At the time of writing the PRG has just under 100 members.
If you are happy for us to contact you periodically by email, phone or post, please complete your details on this form and email it to email@example.com, hand it in to reception or a PPG member.
In January 2015 we sent out a questionnaire to the Patient Reference Group members, asking them three questions. Their reponses were collated and a report produced, which was reviewed by the Practice Staff Team and by the Patient Participation Group. The report and action plan is here.
